There was a huge article in the Urinal (Journal) today about how the Panhandle has swung Republican. There are now apparently more registered GOP members in the area than Dems. That's a cozy thought. I'm sure they'll give the County Commission seat to Faircloth (supporter of DUIs) or Stubblefield (real estate tycoon). Either way, I see it as a shot in the foot. I'm actually starting to get concerned about Byrd's re-election potential. If I see one more Republican "pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun" commercial life, I'm going to puke. We all know that "family" is used by the GOP as a euphemism for anti-homosexual. Come back to WV and strengthen the Dem registration numbers!!! :)
Nice post. The Exxon guy does look like Fat Bastard! "Get in my belly!" Of course, he's not as bothered about eating as he is about putting profits in his pocket, "Get in my pocket!!!"
I like your definition of Traditional Values. After all, things were much better in the past. I really miss slavery, Polio, TB, child labor, 40 year life expectancy, infant mortality, Native American genocide, bloody internal strife, Jim Crow laws, suffrage reserved for white male land owners, World Wars, Robber Barons, Joe McCarthy, and Vietnam. At least we have Iraq to remind us all of the good ole days...
