Sex talk makes me HOT!

Sex is a wonderful thing it can make you feel things you could not have ever imagined, but it is at its best when it is with someone you LOVE. There is something about the intimacy, and comfort that goes along with LOVE. What gives religious zealots the right to tell someone who and who they can not LOVE, just because they can not handle the fact that a man is making love with another man. Believe me this would not be a big deal if it involved only women. Men in positions of power would be happy to allow women to make love to one another, as long as it is caught on tape for them to watch later, and then they could fantasize about being the meat (no pun intended) in the female sandwich.

This past week the Vatican said it will not allow homosexual to become priest, a mass gay wedding in the United Arab Emirates was broken up and all the men arrested, and a single female teacher at Catholic school was fired when it was found out that she was pregnant. What do all these things have in common? It all has to do with other people forcing their sexual and moral views upon us.

First the Vatican, I am not a Catholic and do not claim to understand a religion that forces its priest into celibate lives. How can a person that is not allowed to marry or have sex even begin to counsel people about sex and marriage? I know that some people are called to serve the Lord, but don’t you think that you are limiting the pool of candidates when you ask them to give up the search for love on earth. I know that this rule of celibacy will never be lifted because the powers that be see it as “I had to do this for my entire life and these new recruits will too.” As for the homosexual priest, give me a break isn’t this more of the “don’t ask don’t tell” philosophy. Only thing they may ask but can’t the person just lie and then confess. I don’t mean to be attacking all Catholics, I have many Catholic friends and they are great people, but of course here in America Catholics don’t pay a whole lot of attention to what comes out of the Vatican anyway. I’m sure this is nothing more than a PR move to appease the vocal minority, and a cover for the abuse scandal. Even though the abuse scandal has nothing to do with homosexuality, the Vatican would like everyone to think the priesthood was infiltrated by a bunch of homosexuals and now the problem will be solved.

Second the mass gay wedding, these men are going to be tried and could face hormone treatments, five years in prison and a lashing. The minister of justice and Islamic affairs warned parents to be on the look out for “deviant” behavior in their children. "There is no room for homosexuality in the UAE." I’m sure the Christian right wishes they could film the lashings and show them in their churches, even though they would never admit it. When are people going to realize that God made these people the way He did and leave them alone. I know homosexuals as a minority are an easy target, but it is time for us as a people to get over our homophobia.

And lastly, the firing of a teacher because she had sex out of wedlock, how the hell do you find out if a male teacher is having sex out of wedlock? This is just outrageous on so many levels. 1. The father wants nothing to do with the baby, so how is this woman to support this child now that the school has robbed her of her ability to earn a living? 2. This woman could have had an abortion and kept her job, but she chose to have the child and they penalize her for it. 3. This is the mantra of the Christian right, we want you to have the babies but we will not support you or your bastard children in any way. This is the story that outrages me the most. I am glad the ACLU is suing the school for discrimination, and I hope for women everywhere that they win.

Pre-Speech answer to speech

Well, I’m back after my long hiatus. First let me say that this working 6 out of 7 days sucks. My partner claims that there is no way he can get his custody arrangement changed, but he thinks he deserves a good partner after the last 2 years of partners. Well, I have news for him this schedule that he is forcing me to work will have me looking for the first exit out of this store as soon as possible. When I say working 6 out of 7, for the uninformed, I mean 4 of the six are 12 hours days one is 10 hours and one 8, on your feet the entire time. You might think that the 6 out of 7 off would easily make up for it, but I am a person that does not handle transition that well to begin with so I loose a day being in a bad mood thinking about going back to work, and to tell the truth I do not know enough people here in Santa Fe yet to be able to get out and do anything. I have been limited to work at work and work around my house.
Another reason I have been absent is because I do not have anyone to bounce ideas off of or just to talk to about the politics in the world today. It is difficult to continue a conversation with one’s self. It is hard to be able to gather ones thoughts if you do not here another perspective and I worry about a truly one sided view. (I know our current leadership in Washington does not worry about this since he surrounded himself with nothing but yes men, and he quieted the Generals by firing the only General willing to stand up to Rumsfeld’s plan of attack.)
So anyway after a day of listening to the right wing press, I feel I am informed on what Bush will say tomorrow and it will be nothing more than a “stay the course” speech. Bush back up on the stump with the military behind him. It gives the illusion that the troops support this man’s policies. I hate to tell him our troops are so good that they will do whatever job they are given no matter how ignorant and flawed the plan is. They will do it and not say a word because that is their job. Back to the Bush monologue, “It would be a big mistake to withdraw now.” –There is a vocal minority that wants the troops all out now, but they do not speak for all Americans. What I think all Americans want is a real plan and admittance that we have wasted real Americans tax dollars for 2 years. We want to know when these Iraqi forces will be trained. I know that sounds like a time table and the insurgents “will just wait us out”, but I am convinced that our presence is bolstering the insurgency and hindering the Iraqi army’s progress.
Luckily the mid-term elections are fast approaching and the Republicans need to have trimmed the troop levels or at least say they are about to trim the levels to try and hang on to their majority status. With the Iraqi elections in December this will give Bush political cover to say there has been substantial progress and we will be able to lower troop levels soon. Of course before the last election we increased troop levels from 135,000 to 160,000 (allegedly temporarily) to protect the polls and we are still at that level almost a year and a half later. (So much for all those purple fingers) Bush will rant on about how he wants to win and how he wants to defeat the terrorist and we can not let the brave men and women who have already died be in vane, but what he will not say is that his actions created most of these terrorist and is creating new suicide bombers every day. Once women were never used or even thought of being suicide bombers now we have husband and wife teams. The terrorist are not just fighting there like Bush wants us to believe. They are fighting in England, Spain, Jordan and other countries. They are fighting us there yes, but believe me they will fight us here again also. It is just a matter of time.

I am getting tired and my thoughts are running in 15 different directions so, so long for now.

Next post will be about sex, that should make you come back.

My thanks to Kanye West-Gold Digger

I ain’t sayin she a gold digger,
But she ain’t playin wit no broke, broke.
I ain’t sayin she a gold digger,
But she ain’t playin wit no broke, broke.

These are the kind of lyrics that stick in your head when you listen to hip-hop to and from work everyday, because you can not find anything else on FM. I guess I will be investing in XM very soon, but these lyrics reminded me of our President and his Republican allies. Couldn’t the lyrics just as easily be…

I ain’t sayin George a gold digger,
but he ain’t helpin out no poor, poor.
I ain’t sayin George a gold digger,
But he ain’t helping out no poor, poor.

Let’s look at who George and his Republican buddies have helped since they have taken control.

1. Oil companies—SHOCKER—record profits and they still get sweetheart deals in the so called energy bill, and gas is still above $2.50 a gallon.
2. Credit card companies—No more bankruptcy for the little man, but corporate America can declare bankruptcy and wipe their slates clean of employee pensions.
3. PBM’s-(Pharmacy Benefit Managers)- The Medicare prescription bill was nothing but a give away to the scum of the earth PBM’s. The Republicans did not feel the need to negotiate for lower prices for seniors and use the government’s power to leverage lower prices. Instead they gave these companies the power to charge seniors around $35 a month and $250 deductibles and then PBM’s are allowed to negotiate for rebates for themselves. They will not have to pass the reduced cost on to the seniors or the American Tax Payer, they will be allowed to pocket all the extra profits.
4. Wall Street—I guess the Democrats were able to stop the give away of Social Security for now, but you can bet that this is not really off the President’s radar. This President will stop at nothing when it comes to giving his corporate contributors money. You can bet that after the mid term elections if he still has a majority in both houses that this will come back up. (and he will once again have a mandate)
5. Haliburton- Enough said, I mean we blew the hell out of innocent people so this company could steal real Americans money, and squander it in a desert half way around the world.
6. Richest 1% of Americans- Got a nice tax break while the rest of us are getting huge deficits that our children will have to pay back.

I’m sure I am forgetting many other incidents of you scratch my back and I will pour money over yours, but how can anyone remember all of them.

I aint’ sayin George a gold digger,
But he ain’t helpin out no poor, poor

I ain’t sayin George a gold digger,
But he aint helpin out no poor, poor

Great quotes from our President's religous leader

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."

"God is tolerant and loving, but we can't keep sticking our finger in his eye forever," Robertson said. "If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin. Maybe he can help them."

Robertson made headlines this summer when he called on his daily show for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

In October 2003, he suggested that the State Department be blown up with a nuclear device. He has also said that feminism encourages women to "kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

Robertson has also suggested that Orlando is a prime target for Hurricanes and other natural disasters because of the cities stance of equal rights for homosexuals.

Is their any real wonder why our nation is falling apart? The people in control of the Republican party are leading a bunch of stupid sheep. I hope the religous right keeps its strong hold on the Repulbican party, while we will have to deal with this Supreme Court for the next 30 to 40 years at least we will be able to get rid of this Republican controlled government. Of course, that is if the Democrats mount any kind of campaign at all during the midterm elections. According to recent polls, the American people want the Democrats back in control of Congress, but history tells us that 98% of incumbents are re-elected. The question is can the Democrats get people to oust their own representatives, of course everyone is willing to get rid of other states representatives. Let's just hope that Bush goes on the campaign trail for all his Republican friends, starting with Corporate Capito, errrr Shelley Moore-Bush, errr Shelley Moore-Corputo, errr Shelley Crapito.
